Today marks a significant date in American history as we remember those who were lost during the terror attacks eleven years ago.  While this date will always carry a somber reminder of that dark day, for my family, it also reminds us of the blessing we received on this very day in 2007.  Today is my daughter’s 5^th birthday!

We had a Tangled Party to celebrate over the weekend!  We had a lot of fun decorating for this one!  My daughters had fun decorating the house with the streamers and of course, we had to have balloons!

We bought some yellow yarn and made a big braid to hang by our stairs.  This braid was about 21 strands in total.  We also bought some silk flowers from the dollar store and secured them to the braid.

We also printed a number of “wanted” signs from the computer and put them up around the house.

We used window paint to write on our front door and doorwall!  This is the first time we’ve done this and my daughter thought it was so cool!

I made a #5 out of pictures of my daughter from the time she was born until present.  I did this for my two-year-old back in June and my kids loved it.  I suppose this has become a new tradition for us now.

We used yellow and lavender streamers for the backdrop.  The wet bar was covered with a purple table cover and decorated with a Tangled Table Decorating Kit which consists of a three centerpieces and confetti.

This is where we housed our treat bags for the kiddos attending the party.  I used purple and gold bags stuffed with sparkly tissue paper and printed labels on the computer for the name tags.

Here were some of our goodies:

*A Pascal craft we made a head of time.  I enlisted my daughters’ help in coloring some of these for the little ones.  You can view the template and directions here.

*An apple from Maxium.  I made tags up on the computer and tied them with yellow yarn to each apple.

*Blowers, Paint sets, coloring pages and games for the older children.

We also ordered Pascal cookies from Sugar Logic – which the kids gobbled up and LOVED!  They were so cute!

Our cake was from the local grocery store.  I had intentions of making my own cake, but well, I have three little kids and work full time running a business so, enough said.

All in all the decorations turned out pretty good!  Best of all, my mother-in-law made my daughter’s Rapunzel dress and hair.  She LOVES it!

Happy Birthday Jackie!  You will forever be a bright light on this dark day.
